The life of a squire is one part learning and one part suffering. Except in Veszil’s case, it’s ten parts of the latter; such is the price one pays when mentored by one of the most famous knights in the realm. But when the opportunity arises for a happier life, Veszil is willing to risk a life’s worth of training to get it.

They call that opportunity the Dreamer.

A legendary demigod cursed with eternal sleep for learning the gods’ language against their wishes. Veszil’s heard the story since childhood: speak your desires into the sleeping giant’s ear, and they shall manifest by the god-like power of his dreams. There’s just one catch, though: no one knows where the Dreamer rests.

That is, until the holy Order of the Ancients found something buried in the mountains.

One rumor and a hundred so-called dreamhunters flock to the nearest village to prepare for their descent. However, to cross into the Holosokkár mountains is to trespass on sacred ground—a defiance punishable by death. Thankfully, the dreamhunters that recruited Veszil have a plan…unaware of the slaughter that lies in waiting.
